Elina was born in Athens, Greece in 1970.  She graduated from Vyronas General High School in 1987 and moved on to an undergraduate degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering at The Technical Educational Institute οf Piraeus [BEng 1988 – 1993].

Her first step in her professional career was in the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (ΟΤΕ), and specifically in the Customer Service Department where she was responsible for the control and monitoring of consumer problems, fault-reporting to the technical teams and fault file management (1995 – 1996).

She then moved on to Intrasoft group of companies where she was employed for her specific skills and abilities in a special project that her employer undertook on behalf of the Hellenic Ministry of Finance (1997 – 1998).  She then moved on in Olympic Airways assuming a specific role the Financial Services Division (Foreign Branches). During this period (1999 – 2000), she was able to exercise duties specific on financial and accounting areas, international relationships and improved her English.

She joined Comergon in 2000 as an Associate in the Technical Department.  Her abilities and inherent nature of successfully completing the tasks assigned to her allowed her to pass through many different departments, gaining significant experience in all different classes of General Insurance, including Risk Placement & Claims Management.

She was eventually invited to join the Employee Benefits Team, where she played an important role in its tremendous growth, working through Risk Analysis, Risk Placement, Administration of insurance policies and Claims Management.  Today she serves as Supervisor of the Employee Benefits Team and her unique experience has led to her being the primary contact for the day-to-day servicing of many demanding Employee Benefits clients.

She has participated in a large number of seminars and conferences around the specifics of the insurance industry, including most of the General Insurance classes as well as Employee Benefits practices.

Elina is fluent in Greek and English. She enjoys short trips both inland and abroad and has an impressive list of places she has visited. She will always be in the middle of a historical or crime novel and will not miss attending a number of concerts in different types of music every year.
